Electronics Recycling
California
has designated most electronic devices as a hazardous
waste. It has been reported that over 10,000 old computer monitors
and televisions become obsolete in California everyday. There
are 20 million CRT’s (Cathode Ray Tubes) produced each year in
North America. In addition to CRT’s and other consumer
electronics, it is estimated that there could be as many as
500,000,000 discarded cell phones sitting in people’s homes and
offices.
