Two executives from Kinsbursky Brothers were invited to share their expertise with representatives of industry and the regulatory community on matters related to battery recycling best practices.

ANAHEIM, CA - NOVEMBER 16, 2017
Kinsbursky Brothers Inc. (“KBI”) is proud to announce its participation as an industry expert in two recent workshops related to battery recycling best practices. KBI was pleased to be invited to speak at these workshops and is honored to be considered a reliable source of information to industry and the regulatory community.

On November 6, 2017, KBI participated as a panelist and speaker at the Cal EPA Public Workshop on Lead-Acid Batteries and Alternatives. KBI’s Executive Vice President, Todd Coy, was asked to provide details on the current state of lithium battery recycling in North America as well as participate in discussions focused on the complexities of lithium battery management in California. Other participants included the Director of Environmental Affairs from the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, and the Director and Deputy Direct of the California Department of Toxic Substance Control (“DTSC”), Barbara Lee and Meredith Williams.

On November 8, 2017, KBI participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by The Portable Rechargeable Battery Association (“PRBA”). KBI’s Director of Environmental Affairs, Paul Johnson, presented an overview related to li-ion battery collection, transportation and recycling. The roundtable took place at the offices of Wiley Rein in Washington, D.C., and was attended by various industry representatives as well as Kathy Lett and Lia Yohannes with the EPA’s Materials Recovery and Waste Management Division
